A Conceptual Model-Based Platform for Semi-Automatic Report Generation to Streamline Medical Diagnostics of Lung Cancer and PET/CT Data Management

The problem it addresses

Medical professionals face challenges managing complex PET/CT data and manually preparing structured reports. This work addresses these challenges by defining a conceptual model for nuclear medicine in lung cancer and translating it into a software solution.

My contribution

Contributed to the development of the conceptual model of nuclear medicine and the design and implementation of IE-PETer, including clinical data management, automated clinical calculations and structured report generation.

Main results

Developed and validated a conceptual model and a functional software prototype in collaboration with nuclear medicine specialists. IE-PETer supports structured reporting, patient data management, TNM classification, and RECIST/iPERCIST treatment response assessment.
